A brand new hostel for the homeless
Danual Gilbert House, Code Street, a Providence Row project for single homeless people won the prestigious Housing Design Awards in 1995. The 5m hostel, just off Brick Lane in the heart of the East End of London houses 82 single people in a mixture of single rooms, bedsits and self-contained flats. The building was designed by architects Parry Frame Associates who invited Yates Associates to undertake the full detailed design of MEP services.
