Award winning project from the architects of The London Eye
The Watersports Activity Centre was conceived as a learning facility for under fifteen year olds. There is a pontoon where all types of craft are stored to enable students to dinghy sail, canoe or paddleboard. The centre includes Changing Facilities, Office and Coffee Lounge. The late David Marks Julia Barfield Architects have had the following successes:
- shortlisted for the British Construction Industry Awards, 1995
- awarded Order of Merit by the Structural Steel Design Awards, 1995
- winner of an RIBA Regional Award, 1995
- winner of the Liverpool Architecture and Design Trust, part of the Liverpool Arts Awards, 1994
Yates Associates were pleased to have undertaken the MEP services with lead engineer Loren Butt. We were invited to the RIBA Regional Award presentation at Liverpool Town Hall 0n Wednesday 31st January 1996.
