One of the first sandwich bar chains in London
We were appointed by the client to undertake the refurbishment of a disused abattoir which is located in Bow close to the Olympic stadium. A Jewish family-run business, Bengy's was one of the first major chains of sandwich bars to start in the City of London and was famous for its 'submarine' roll and filling. The business was so successful, approximately 27 branches in all were opened and this project was to be their food processing plant and distribution centre.
Yates Associates undertook the full detailed design of MEP services.
The Benjamin family eventually sold the business.
